Awe shucks. It was a good run though. Thanks for hosting the giveaway, Doug!
Well this is a great surprise for me since I’ve been home sick all day! I’d say this is motivation to read your blog more often, but I already read pretty much every post. Thanks for holding a great contest and I hope that you and your sponsors are happy, too.
This kind of thing really helps me justify my blog-reading time to my wife 🙂
Congratulations Noah! I just sent you links for the extra prizes.
It was a fun contest – I look forward to your next contest Doug 😉
Lucky, lucky guy! You *should* run a contest on your blog, Noah, and give away even an iPod. 😉
[Kidding]
When will the other winners be announced?
Здраво, Марија,
It all went to the grand prize winner! Next contest I’m definitely going to have first, second, third prizes… I don’t think this contest attracted as much attention having only 1 winner. (But it made Noah happy!)
Doug
Oooh ok! I misunderstood then.
I hope that for your next contest, you’ll make it easier for people to enter as well. Having 10 sponsors to write about is not very encouraging. Of course we all want extra entries, but for things that could be more effective for you as well, like giving you thumbs up on SU, subscribing to your feed, faving you on Technorati, etc…
My opinion though. 🙂
Good post. You make some great points that most people do not fully understand.
“Sorry for the late run on this! We sent a list of the entries to Ade with each entry having a random number associated (using the RAND function in Excel and then sorting the column). We then had Hannes select a random number within the 108 entries so Hannes would not know who the winner would be. The winner of the $1,000 giveaway was Noah at wpstar.com!”
I like how you explained that. Very helpful. Thanks.
